No matter how good my intentions, I seem to always leave some things to the last minute when preparing for a bike tour. There’s simply so much to get ready, in addition to work, life, social commitments, etc. And this was certainly the case for my bike tour prep for my next cycling adventure in Turkey.
Although I managed to get a good amount of what I mentioned in my video on the 21 things I do to prepare for an international bike tour out of the way — a few things slipped past me.
Three days before departure I still needed to pack, get all my new bags on my bike, head out for a loaded test ride, and set up a new tent for the first time. Oh, AND decide if I wanted to change my saddle 72 hours before flying out.

I hope to keep getting better at my bike tour prep and not leaving so much to the last minute. But for now, this is where I’m at. And you know I’ll always be honest with y’all 😉
