I have been a big fan of Vega products for a while now. Their Electrolyte Hydrator got me through training for my first Ironman, their French Vanilla Nutritional Shake has been my favourite way to get an extra boost of nutrients in my morning sugar-free green smoothie and now their Vanilla Protein & Greens is blowing my mind in this peanut butter and banana smoothie.
So I am pretty excited to be teaming up with them to bring you this incredible protein-powered green smoothie and best of all… a giveaway!
Vega’s Protein & Greens is sugar-free, gluten-free, non-GMO verified and vegan making it a great choice for all kinds of dietary sensitivities and preferences. It also contains 2 servings of greens (which when you combine it with the 2 cups of spinach in this smoothie recipe makes for an incredible veggie-filled start to the day) and it offers up 20g of nourishing, satiating protein.
Another great thing about this recipe is its easy to keep all the necessary ingredients on hand. Frozen bananas, for example, are one of my kitchen staples. I blend them up into banana “ice cream”, toss them in my smoothies or even eat them on their own as a snack. To be ready for this smoothie recipe whenever you want, simply peel a bunch of ripe bananas, chop them up into coins, toss them in a large resealable bag and freeze!
As for the “optional” ingredients listed below — don’t worry if you don’t have them. The beauty of Vega’s Protein & Greens is it’s so flavourful you can toss a bunch of other healthy extras into your smoothie and you’d never know the difference! Super sweet and creamy smoothie for you, extra nutrients for your body! But if you only have the ingredients for the basic peanut butter banana smoothie, that’s a great place to start!
Peanut butter & banana green smoothie

This smoothie recipe looks delicious! I love Vega products and often use them in my smoothies or even mixed into greek yogurt. My favorite smoothie recipe is: cashew milk, 1/4 cup organic low-fat cottage cheese, 1 scoop Vega protein and greens, 1/2 tsp. of xanthum gum, 1/2 frozen banana, about 50 grams of frozen berries (either strawberries, blueberries, blackberries, whatever I have on hand) and then topped with homemade granola!
I also subscribed to receive the Zest newsletter!
