Whenever I’m chatting with someone who knows I’m a nutritionist and they start a sentence with “this may be TMI but…” I know exactly what’s coming. Poop talk! Truth be told, every nutritionist I know welcomes discussions around bathroom habits because they truly tell us so much about what’s going on inside our bodies. But many people feel uncomfortable broaching the subject.
That’s why this week’s video is all about poop. What colour, shape and frequency of stools is considered normal, and what to do if you’re dealing with a common poop problem such as constipation or diarrhea.
Everybody poops. So let’s get talking about it! We can learn so much about our bodies from our digestive health and can also feel a whole lot better if we get ourselves regular!
I hope this video helps you learn a bit about what the colour, shape and frequency of your poops can tell you about your digestive health. If you’re experiencing any irregularities with your bowel movements — don’t be shy! See your doctor or other health professional and get the digestive health support you need.
If you have a health or wellness question you would like answered on an upcoming episode of Tea with a Nutritionist — don’t hesitate to let me know in the comment section below or shoot me a message.
